Dear Friends,

The “great photovoltaic industry” has been strangled by stringent government intervention and is fighting for survival. Henceforth, only so called small rooftop projects of up to 30 kWp are to be supported. However, the solar industry is viable and obtaining energy from the sun remains one of the most promising energy technologies. New, more effective and affordable technologies are also getting a say and reminding us that in the relatively near future, they will be price-competitive with respect to conventional sources.
