The installed output of solar power plants in the CR increased tenfold in 2008 to 54 MWpa, making photovoltaic power the fastest growing energy branch! Over 1200 PV plant licenses are registered in the Czech Republic, and there is vast interest in more, despite the fact that electricity buyout prices are declining by the lawfully permitted maximum.
The current global financial crisis cannot stop this boom – on the contrary, projects for the construction of renewable energy plants in general and photovoltaic plants in particular are immensely attractive to banks and investors, thanks to their substantial investment costs and minimal project risk, which can be compared at most to investments into state bonds. And everybody knows it…
Where is this young and highly dynamic energy branch heading? What is the overall solar potential of the CR and should it be exploited? What are the conditions for the construction of new PV plants and is there support from the public administration? How should one proceed in preparing and implementing new projects? What benefits do cities and municipalities continue to gain when preparing and financing solar power plants? Can we expect the development of PV micro-installations? Will the high buyout prices of electricity from solar resources last?
Come and hear the experts’ opinions on these issues at this solar power conference.
We look forward to seeing you!
