Water 2009: Water in the Landscape – Quality Management and Sustainable Water Use
/Paradigm of the Zelivka drinking-water resource sustainability/
to be held on Wednesday 11th February till Friday 13th February 2009 in Prague
Focussed on the paradigm of the Zelivka drinking water resource sustainability, the Conference Technical Programme is supposed to address the following main themes:
- Water in Landscape: Mitigation of flood/drought risks
Management of reservoirs and public drinking water supply - Management and control of spot and diffuse pollution sources
- Actual trends in the EU Common Agricultural and Water Policy
Sustainability of water resources in the CR and EU
There will also be two site excursions within the Conference:
- The Hulice waterworks (Zelivka reservoir, main source of drinking water for Prague and vicinity)
- The Prague-Podoli waterworks (within the Prague city, treating water f rom the Vltava river)
