Efforts to reduce emissions from the power sector have a significant magnitude.  In particular, efficiency improvement in the coal-fired power plant is the major technology to respond to this issue.  Presentation will cover the Japanese experience in these areas as well as the options to be deployed in the future.Also there will be a presentation which shows a state of the art R&D and its demonstration activities on “smart grid technology”.
